This village ministry was developed for many years under Brent and Sara George and now continues under the capable leadership of Mircea, the national pastor. At 11 a.m. Tuesday, we launched our first Bible club in Mediesu Aurit—and 80 boys and girls showed up. In all our years coming to this village, that is the highest attendance we’ve ever seen. Praise the Lord for opening hearts and drawing children.
Our team jumped right in with Bible lessons, songs, memory verse time, games, and crafts. The jump from around 20 young people the previous week to 80 on Tuesday was a vivid reminder that God is able to do “exceeding abundantly above” what we expect. In the evening, we enjoyed an evangelistic service and a meal with the church folks. The message again came from Mark 1, focusing on how Jesus worked in the everyday lives of people of His day—healing, casting out a demon, cleansing a leper—and how that same Savior can enter into and help with the pains and struggles of our lives today.
