July 10 – Yes, there was quite a celebration when we received news that the Tarom Airlines driver would arrive in two hours with our luggage. He arrived this afternoon just before 3 PM with all but one suitcase (which was not a personal items suitcase, but had some ministry items in it, and we should expect that one tomorrow.) It was great for each of us to have the clothes and things that we packed for the trip now available. We got a little ribbing from the missionary that he would need to learn our names again as we were all wearing different clothes.

For Melany and I, we received a special treat today as Dan Ulich showed up this morning at camp. Dan served all the years we ministered at Speranta Pentru Viiator and it was so good to visit and catch up with him and his now 15-year old son, Alex. There were many years that Dani was our translator and poured into our team to make each summer as productive and helpful to our teams. He now serves on the pastoral staff at Baptist Church #1 in Sighetu.

Tonight we were also blessed with special music from a student and summer worker at the camp, Ferri. He came up to me this morning reminding me of a message I had preached at camp with the mirror and the dirt on my face. It was good to see him use his talents for Jesus Christ this evening in the service.

Our team is doing very well actively involved in ministering to the campers each day. Though it is very hot here, their efforts are strong. We’ve had outstanding Bible lessons, review games, leaders in games and helpers in craft time, as well as excellent crowd control. Our team has bonded well with many of the young people here in the village.

Thank you for your prayers regarding the luggage and please continue that hearts will be touched and ready to receive the gospel as it is presented daily.
