Camp in Mediestu
We started camp last evening with the boys and girls of Mediestu with about 55 children. We did our first session on Monday evening which allowed our team to get some needed rest after flying to Romania and getting to our hotel about 4 AM. It was a wonderful first session as the children were primed and ready for camp and we had a great time of sharing Jesus Christ through our smiling faces, simply caring and playing with them, and showing interest in them. We had a Bible lesson, craft time, game time, an object lesson, as well as many songs in both Romanian and English.
This morning, we headed back and did Day #2 with the village children. It was early for many of them (10AM) as many of the children will sleep in because they stay up late. It is often hot here during the day, so their evenings are filled with activity and therefore, don’t always go to bed that early. But we praise the Lord, that when we started, 46 kids were under the pavilion ready to get started.
Tonight is our first evangelistic meeting for the village. We’re looking forward to sharing testimony and songs with the believers here as well as a time in God’s Word challenging them regarding their love for God.
One BIG FINAL PRAYER REQUEST: Our Luggage!!! We’re hoping that it arrives in Cluj this afternoon and can be delivered tonight. This includes about 30 suitcases filled with our personal clothing, etc but also many ministry items that we desire to use throughout our camp. (I’d also love to have the charging cords so I can plug in this computer before it dies and be able to continue to put updates on the YOMTEAMS page.
